I am so glad you stopped by! I always enjoy visiting with my friends and guests at my tree house known as Debbie's Place. Nestled among pines in the corner of our backyard at RoosterVille, my tree house is my haven - the place where I found the quietness and solitude necessary to write my first book, Little Lady, BIG DREAM.
My website was created in conjunction with the August 5, 2008 release of my new book. In twenty-nine chapters and 292 pages, I have done my best to share my life journey . . . from a shy little girl growing up on the wrong side of the railroad tracks to the realization of my ultimate dream to build and operate my own assisted living residence and retirement community.
Although a "little lady," my dream proved ever so big! Actually, my dream was bigger than me . . . almost! Truly bigger than I could ever have imagined! It emerged from a very real life crisis that some might call a nightmare. Little Lady, BIG DREAM is a moving story of overcoming life's obstacles, finding purpose after loss and following a dream.
Hasn't everyone had dreams whether great or small? I pursued my dream and now I share the intimate details of that journey to the whole world to simply show you that I am really not much different than you. Why? Because so many have questioned over the years, "How did you do it, Debbie?" Through Little Lady, BIG DREAM, I share—step by step—how I created a multimillion dollar business in spite of life's many obstacles . . . those that could easily have caused me to quit - or maybe not to even get started!
My challenge to you: grab hold of your dream and realize that no matter what circumstances you have faced, or are currently facing, it is possible to make your dreams come true, too.
